Theater review: ‘Death of a Salesman’ at Novato Theater Company, Novato, California…

Award-winning director Carl Jordan ably helms this raw and moving 1940’s Pulitzer winner on a spare Novato stage, a contrast to Arthur Miller’s complex storytelling and Jordan’s cast of twelve is up to the task at hand…

Joe Winkler and Madeleine Ashe are tremendous as Willy and Linda Loman, well supported by Chris Genesi as Biff, Neil Thollander as Happy and Alan Weber as Ben Loman.

Theater newcomer Lauren Bryn, a former professional ballet dancer, makes an impressive debut as the giggly, fun-loving Miss Forsythe, I’m confident that we’ll be seeing more of Bryn in future Bay Area productions.

Why: This is one of the 20th Century’s best plays and this production is well worth your time and money, don’t miss it.

Where: Novato Theater Company, Novato California.

When: Runs through Feb. 18 2018.
