FILM REVIEW OF “VICTORIA & ABDUL”

Watched “Victoria & Abdul” and one of the best actings this year.  I’ll watched film that any Judi Dench is in. She is a superb actress.   She plays Queen Victoria in the later years.  Judi Dench gives magnificent performance.

The time is 1887 the occasion the Golden Jubilee celebration of her 50 years ruling the British Empire.  India is Abdul and another servant with special coin.  The opening is lavish dinner and it is a magnificent affair.  Her Majesty a pudgy figure attired in the heavy black ground waddled to head of table that seats 60 guests.  We watch her magnificently eats a grapefruity as she wordlessly goes the ritual, we were shoving the soup, she gnaws thru a poultry course and she is bored by all this. Abdul approachs her give her commentate  coin on the pillow and kisses shoe.  It’s started of beautiful friendship. Its Queen Victoria and commoner Scotsman John Brown  She is installed her house on the Isle and Wright elaborate Indiana Dunbar

They are inseparable and she looks as teacher /student, the student the Queen.   The eldest son Bertie is exasperated with mother.   He is anxious to be king.

The acting of the cast is outstanding.  Ali Fazel as Abdul is fantastic in the role of teacher.  The supporting  consisted of such fine actors Tim Piquit-Smith, Eddie Izzard, Michael Gambon and Olivia Williams   IT’S ON COMCAST IN DEMAND
